Zambia HIV prevention Theater

Zambia Community HIV Prevention project is a USAID funded project targeting priority populations including adolescent girls and young women and their male sexual partners, discordant couples, people living with HIV, and migrant population. The goal of the project is to reduce new HIV infection in Zambia among priority populations by increasing uptake of high impact services and protective behaviours among at risk populations, using evidence based interventions and locally owned solutions.

Since inception, the project has reached thousands of priority populations with HIV prevention information and education, community based HIV testing services and economic empowerment skills. Community theatre has been an effective tool for positive behavior change towards HIV prevention.
